In 2013 Diego graduated with honors receiving an advanced diploma from Foothill High School. A true intellectual, Diego went on to continue his studies at College of Southern Nevada earning his Associate of Arts Degree with honors and at Nevada State College his Bachelor of Arts, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Speech Pathology.
Like every other teenager, one of his first jobs was at McDonald’s, doing a little bit of everything. Trying to find his niche and continuing his studies he worked as an usher for We Serve Inc., then as a sales associate at Teavana. He finally found a home at Starbucks! He worked at Starbucks for seven years and was a high achiever, earning the title of Barista Champion multiple years, in addition to Barista Champion he took a course to become a Coffee Master. His success continued as he shifted focus into the world of teaching putting his degree to work, he started subbing with CCSD as a teacher’s aide helping children with special needs.
Diego’s travels took him to Europe, the East Coast, the West Coast and places in between. He loved to spend time outdoors hiking with friends and had a passion for music. He was fortunate to have attended several concerts with his favorite artists and collecting their music some on vinyl. He enjoyed going to the movies. There are so many things that made him happy.
Diego is survived by his parents John “Juan” and Leticia Villalpando, his brother Emilio and sister in-law Xandra and his first nephew Aniello Salvatore, brother Damian and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Diego touched countless lives with his infectious smile, those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. Diego your life was a blessing and you will be forever in our hearts.
