Diane was a life long resident of New York, residing part time in Henderson , Nevada for the past decade. Predeceased by her loving parents, Albert and Stella Lin, her two brothers David and Daniel along with her nieces and nephews Kenneth, Victoria, Michael and Jonathan. She also leaves behind her long term significant other Joseph Mylonas and their beloved dog, Tinman.
Diane retired from the United Nations staff after a long career. This was the only job she ever had and she formed many life long friendships with her fellow employees. Diane loved being involved with the United Nations, their charitable work, and the volunteer groups she personally supported. A truly giving person, Diane donated to many groups. She worked soup kitchens to see the homeless fed, knitted innumerable hats and scarfs to keep them warm and donated greatly of her funds. These volunteer projects are events she would take her nephew Ken on for Thanksgiving where they would prepare meals for the homeless before attending their own family dinner. Her nephew Ken keeps this tradition to this day. Diane also was a supporter of battered woman’s groups and numerous veterans organizations.
A lover of music and the arts she loved visiting the NYC museums in her spare time. Motown was her favorite music through her life and was entwined in her interactions with her family, especially her brother David and his son Ken. Diane and Joe attended hundreds of shows while she resided in Henderson, NV. From these shows and her giving spirit Diane engaged with a group of friends too numerous to mention.
She loved life and her presence will be missed on many levels, by many people whose lives she has touched and the impact she had on this world. God speed Diane!
