Desai was educated in the Clark County School District and graduated from Green Valley High School in 2005.
Desai found freedom on boards, blades, and wheels from an early age. He loved the thrill and speed of extreme sports—ice hockey, rollerblading, skateboarding, and snowboarding weren’t just hobbies; they were lifelong passions that shaped who he was and how he moved through the world. He played on various teams growing up, especially hockey, where his fearlessness came through early on. He could often be found at the skatepark, working on tricks long after the sun went down.
Desai wasn’t just a skater; he was a mentor, a motivator, and a friend to anyone who shared his love for the sport. He gave his time generously, encouraging newcomers, organizing events, and always making space for others to feel welcome. His presence was a constant at local parks and meetups, where his energy and dedication inspired everyone around him. To many, he was the heart of the skate scene—a person whose passion brought people together, whose kindness left a lasting impression, and whose legacy will live on every time wheels hit the pavement.
Whether it was a laid-back hangout or a special occasion, Desai made every moment meaningful. His warmth and laughter brought light to any room, turning everyday moments into lasting memories.
God and family were his foundation. Desai shared a deep bond with his entire family—his aunts, uncles, cousins, and beyond. The love he had for them was evident in the way he lived, in the way he gave, and in the way he showed up. He made sure everyone knew how much he loved and supported them. Always an encouragement. Always present. Always showing up. Desai loved out loud, and that love will be felt forever.
In addition to skateboarding and snowboarding, Desai poured his energy into his entrepreneurial journey. A passionate sneakerhead, he turned his love for rare and stylish footwear into a business he proudly built from the ground up: Vegas Looks. What began as a personal interest quickly evolved into a thriving venture, connecting him with sneaker lovers across the country—including some of the most well-known celebrities in the entertainment industry—who admired his eye for style and dedication to authenticity. For Desai, it was more than just a business; it was a reflection of his passion, hustle, and creativity.
Desai also found joy in giving back to the homeless community, often donating clothes and shoes to those in need. It brought him immense happiness to make a difference in the lives of others.
Desai was preceded in death by his grandmother Ester Self Butler, grandfather Benjamin Abrams, grandmother Myra Gamble, and aunt Elaine Hooper.
He leaves behind his father, Michael Abrams (Joyce Johnson); his mother, Lillie Ann Hooper; and grandmother, Romain Hooper. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles who loved him dearly: Machele Dunlap (Eddie), Jerry Hooper, Tony Venable (Judy), Twynetta Abrams, Deltrina Augustus, Amy Johnson (Iron), Anita Self, and Shalisa Nelson. He also leaves behind a loving group of cousins, each carrying a piece of his spirit and legacy.
Desai will be deeply missed by his friends Candice Roman, Tatiyana George-Waiters, and Kyle Eubanks, along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved him profoundly.
