Dennis Riley Callahan, age 74, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Dennis was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 26, 1948. A U.S. Navy veteran, Denny participated in the recovery operation of the Apollo 13 astronauts in 1970. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he became a police officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and retired after 22 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Gloria; his step children, Mike and Sally Herman; and his step sister, Rae Pattfield. He is also survived by a host of extended family & friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Las Vegas, NV. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the The Backstoppers at https://backstoppers.org/donate/.
