03/01/1948 – 11/06/2024
Della Kaye (Leon) Yeager of Crescent Nevada (Searchlight), passed away at her home in Crescent.
Della was born on March 1, 1948, to Beverly Ann (Davey) Leon and Norman Odean Leon in Las Vegas Nevada. She was a lifetime resident of Southern Nevada, grew up in Henderson and went to college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she earned multiple Bachelor degrees.
Della was a student of life. She loved to study; from chemistry to art, birds to music, gardening to rocks; she loved learning about it all. And if given the chance she would share all the interesting facts with you while sitting under her trees at Crescent. Whether she was Tap dancing or driving a John Deere loader there was little she could not do.
She was passionate, protective, loyal and loved her family. She married her husband John while in college, and they met when they were teenagers. John was the love of her life, and for 54 years, together they embarked in a lifelong adventure that allowed them to live their lives in their own way in their own space and with eternal love.
She had one daughter and one grandson. She was an amazing mother and grandmother and never hesitated to shower her dear ones with hugs and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years John Alfred Yeager Jr. and leaves behind her daughter Sherry Angelique (Angel) Yeager Brown, Son-in-law Maurice (Moe) Brown and her grandson Alexander (Alex) Guy.
