“ Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Cook Brimer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, at the age of 68, after bravely battling illness. Born on March 26, 1955, in Henderson, Nevada, to Max and Carol Cook, Cindy's life was marked by love, faith, resilience, courage, and boundless love for her family.
Despite enduring hardships, Cindy remained steadfast in her determination to live a life filled with love and compassion. Cindy's love for her family knew no bounds. She was a devoted wife to her husband Jim Brimer, a loving mother to her sons, Kyle Iorio and Michael Iorio, and a welcoming step-mother to her step-daughters, Sandy Brimer and Phoebe Brimer. Her granddaughters, Jessyka Brimer and Kataryna Lorio, held a special place in her heart, bringing her immense joy and happiness as did her adopted granddaughters Imani and India.
A woman of deep faith, Cindy was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was preparing to embark on her temple work, embodying her devotion to serving others and her dedication to her religious principles.
Cindy's love extended to her furry companions, whom she adored and cherished as members of her family. Their presence brought her comfort and joy, filling her life with love and laughter.
In addition to her immediate family, Cindy is survived by her brother Nolan Cook and sisters Becky Robertson, Judy Cook, and Barbara DuToit. Their love and support were sources of strength and comfort throughout Cindy's life, and she cherished the bond they shared.
Throughout her life, Cindy found solace and joy in crafting, particularly in creating intricate shadow boxes and meticulously curated photo albums. Her creative spirit and attention to detail were evident in every piece she crafted, leaving behind footprints of beauty and creativity for her loved ones to cherish.
Cindy had a passion for collecting lighthouses, each one holding a special place in her heart and serving as a reminder of the guiding light that she was to her family and friends. She also had a fondness for collecting beach sand, each grain representing cherished memories made by the shore with her loved ones.
Cindy's legacy of love, faith, and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will be cherished by her family and friends forever.
