Concepcion Moreno, 67, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Born in Motul, Yucatan Mexico on December 8, 1945 along with her twin sister Guadalupe Lopez, she was the daughter of the late Graciano and Floria Diaz.
Concepcion, affectionately known as Conchita, was a beloved and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was a tireless caregiver to not only her family, but also those fortunate enough to call her friend. A second mother to many, Conchita was well known as an expert homemaker and chef, and could always be counted on to provide comfort, strength, and motherly advice to anyone in need.
She found joy in her devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren, and took immense pride in her role as their greatest supporter. Her legacy and example continue through not just her biological children, but also through all those to whom she was a second mother, as she continually put the needs of others before her own.
She is preceded in death by her brother Jose Manuel Diaz.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Francisco Moreno; two sons, Francisco Moreno Jr. (Nicole) and Manuel Moreno (Vanessa); daughter Flor Molina (Stephen); sisters, Isabel Juarez, Lucy Tanoira, and Guadalupe Lopez; brothers, Wilbert Diaz and Enrique Diaz; eight grandchildren, Manuel Jr., Arianna, Alyssa, Hope, Rebecca, Andrez, Christian, and Melanie; and 36 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 2:00pm, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, Nevada 89120. Funeral services will begin at the same location at 2:00pm. A Committal service will be conducted at 3:00pm at Palm Mortuary Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
