She began her career with McDonald's as a crew member during high school in Aberdeen, South Dakota and retired from the organization as the Human Resources Manager of the West Division McOpCo in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2014, she won the President’s Award, given to the top one percent of employees globally.
Cindy enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling, cooking/baking, and hosting get-togethers in her home. She also devoted her time and energy to her family. Her warm personality and smile brightened any room she walked into. Throughout her adult life, she was an avid Cocker Spaniel lover.
She married her high school sweetheart, Terry Dickman, in 1977 and the couple had two children together. Later in life, she married Charles True and they resided in Las Vegas, Nevada until his passing. She spent her final years with Alvin Janzen.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Orma Vetch; sisters, Nancy Zantow and Peggy Maners; daughter and spouse, Shawn and Dezzaray Genovese; son and spouse, Jonathan and Lisa True; and 2 grandsons, Knox and Stone True. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles True; father, Johnnie Vetch; and sister, Shirley Artz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Ronald McDonald House.
