Chris (A.K.A. House) was born the youngest of four children in Camp Pendleton, CA. His parents were Elizabeth Ruth Lollar-Weaver and George Albert Weaver Sr. He was a loving and caring soul who enjoyed relaxing and hanging with family and friends. He deeply loved his family and friends.
Chris graduated El Camino High school in 1995. He then went to Cal State Fresno and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship/Finance. While at CSU Fresno, he was part of a National Student exchange program that allowed him to go to Alabama State University in 97-98 and to Jonkoping International Business School in Jonkoping Sweden in the fall of 99. He achieved his MBA in accounting in 2009 from University of Phoenix.
He was very busy in college J He was one of the Young Democrats Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of Alabama in 97-98, a Leon Peters Leadership Scholarship Scholar in 2000, won the NACE award for the outstanding entrepreneur California Region in 2000, won the Baker Peterson Franklin Entrepreneurship Award in 2001, and was a John E. Hughes Entrepreneurial Scholar in 2001.
While at Alabama State, he became the co-founder/Vice President of Business Operations for Butta’s Inc. (an urban clothing store). After graduation, he became a credit manager at Wells Fargo. He then went to work at Harrah’s Rincon in California as a Cashier/Banker. From that position he was able to get hired at Harrah’s in Vegas as an auditor. He then decided to become an IT auditor for the state of Nevada. One of his proudest accomplishments was obtaining his ISACA’s CISA certification (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
Chris loved family reunions, cruises, making money, flying drones, playing racquetball, and hanging out with his friends. He was proud to be part of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity and the Alpha Kappa Psi (Professional Business Fraternity – Gamma Lambda Chapter). He was also a proud member of the Masons (Vegas Lodge 032). From 2008 – 2009 he served as the lodge master for his mason group.
Chris is survived by his three siblings, two nephews, a niece: Leilani Juanita Weaver-Murray (sister), George Albert Weaver Jr. (brother) (Wife Charisse), Regina Kaye Ambrose (sister) (Husband Don), Dominique Christopher Murray (nephew), Don Ambrose II (nephew) and Makayla Ambrose (niece). He is also survived by a number of Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends whose lives he touched in a uniquely special way.
The one thing Chris wrote that he wanted people to remember:
“Love the moments you’re in. The past can’t change, the future is unknown, but the beauty is with you now!”
Chris’s homecoming celebration will be held on Saturday May 21, 2022 at Melba Bishop Park (5306 N River Rd. Oceanside, CA 92057) from 1pm to 6pm PST.
