Cathy was born June 11, 1945 in Chicago, and grew up in the suburb of Lyons, Illinois. She lived in a three-bedroom, one-bath house with four sisters and one brother. Growing up, she played the accordion, listened to Elvis, and was a baton twirler for the then Chicago Cardinals football team. She went on to become a nurse and loving mother of two girls, Bridgette and Alison. She raised her family in Wilmette, Illinois and held overnight Christmas parties for her entire extended family. Cathy later moved to Las Vegas and loved golf, tennis, bowling and bridge. She was a great storyteller with a razor sharp wit and knack for just the right turn of phrase. She will be remembered fondly for her laugh, her humor and her love of family. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, John; mother, Mary; husband, Allen; and sister, Clarice. She is survived by her daughters, Bridgette and Alison; grandchildren, Brandon, Hugo and Vera; sisters Charlotte, Christine, Mary Ellen; and brother, John. She also loved her 10 nieces and nephews, and many adoring cousins and friends. A memorial service will take place October 11, 2019, at 9:30am at the King David Memorial Chapel in Henderson, NV. There will be a later service in the Chicago area. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Catherine’s name to St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
