Carol was a very friendly and caring person in the neighborhood.  We have walked with her and her dog on various occasions.  She has been missed, but we thought perhaps she moved away.  Condolences to the family.

In our early years in Las Vegas, Carol was our next door neighbor. Together we battled, sometimes valiantly, the ever-present threat of pool algae and the neighborhood cats that would use our lawns as private litter-boxes and tease her two dogs. We moved; she moved – both of us further west in the same community - as we later discovered. By that time, we had our first dog; and she was providing a loving home for the fourth of what would become six dogs over the years we knew her. Not only did she care for her own dogs, she would frequently pet sit for others – so very kind and generous. Over the years, we (and many others) would meet almost daily with our dogs in the early morning summer hours (to avoid Vegas heat and sun) sharing dog and family stories and many laughs. Our Sergeant Pepper and her Patches were pals. We, and all her dog walking friends, miss her terribly. Diana, Cary, and Sergeant Pepper Spencer.

Our deepest sympathies.  Carol was my husband's (Rich) cousin.  We were so saddened to hear of her passing.  Rich always looked forward to her letter at Christmas time and he always returned a letter with all that had happened during the year.  She loved to talk about her family and just loved her dogs.  She was a very special person and will be missed by all the lives she touched.

For several years my husband and I have had the pleasure of sitting next to Carol at the UNLV Rebel basketball games. She was always such a joy to be around.  We cheered, chatted, laughed, sighed when the game was not going well, but always had a good time. Carol will be sorely missed. Her family will continue to be in our prayers.

My friend Julie and I drove cross county from Massachusetts to California years ago and ended up on Carol's doorstep. Carol and her family took us in and treated us like family. I her remember spending my first Christmas in California with Carol, Nana, Tom and the rest of the Gilbert Family. I will always hold a special place in my heart for the Gilbert's and the kindness they showed us.  Carol touched many lives and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Gilbert Family. Carol was one of the first people who befriended our family when we moved here. Her upbeat nature, open smile and warm laugh came naturally. She had a kind heart and I'm sure her spirit will soar with the Angels. May God Bless her soul.

I will miss having the frequent political talks I used to have with Carol. I will also miss being the recipient of the yummy baked goods Carol bestowed upon me.  But, most of all, I will miss Carol.

I remeber Carol as such a good friend.  We did so many things together growing all through school. She was such a caring, loving person and extended herself to so many others.  I will miss her. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

I remember Carol as a wonderful childhood friend and one of God's truly good people. The world has lost a beautiful person.My sympathy to her much loved family.
