Barbara McDonnaugh-Reece was born January 13rd, 1939, in Trinidad West Indies, town of Movant to Alfred Recce and Alma Mulzach-Reece.
She immigrated to London, England at an early age to work and attend Nursing school to begin her career and advance her education. While in London She married Lionel McDonnaugh in London, England and from that union had three sons Andre, Shaun and Pierre. She was a very hard worker and succeeded at whatever she attempted to do. Because of her good grades and strong work ethic she was recruited to one of the United States top nursing programs at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City she always made a success of whatever she put her mind to so they decided to move the entire family to the United States in 1965 for better life where she and then Husband and entire family lived in Manhattan NY shortly after we all moved to Queens, NY and later moving one last time to Hempstead Long Island, NY were from a separate union Duane Mcdonnaugh-Reece was born now known as Ifakolada Reece.
After a long career as a Nurse Midwife, she retired to Las Vegas Navada where she built her dream retirement home. Barbara enjoyed her retirement, attending church, helping family and friends. On most days you could see her planting flowers or tending to her garden and taking care of grandchildren along with keeping his property well-manicured. Eventually, her illness prevented her from her normal routine.
She finally transitioned peacefully in her sleep and now she is in God’s hands.
We thank God for allowing us to have a mother like Barbara McDonnaugh-Reece and we know she is relaxing painlessly and at peace with her son Shaun and other friends and relatives that have been missed.
