Armando Ignacio Munoz-Armas was a natural leader whose winning presence allowed him to take control of various situations with ease. Equipped with a clear and calculating focus, he possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. He had the ability to make even routine situations seem exciting, and he was at ease with the role of playing problem solver. Armando always sought out the scene where the action was. Sociable, analytical, and pleasant, Armando was an individual who enjoyed life’s challenges.
Armando was born on October 21, 1991 at Pomona Valley Medical Center in Pomona, Ca. His parents were Gloria and Florentino. Armando was raised in Pomona and San Bernardino, Ca. Always able to express himself well, Armando possessed strong interpersonal skills. He was optimistic in his outlook on life and was able at all times to be open and direct in his communication. Armed with great wit, Armando was raised to be family oriented and implement a strong personal work ethic. He would eventually buy a home for his parents with an open invitation for those that needed a place to stay, a trait he learned from his Grandma Pilar.
Blessed with a balanced attitude, Armando was able to relate well with others. His occasional role as family mediator gave him the opportunity to ease tense situations when they occurred. Armando was raised with 4 older brothers. Alberto, Jose(CaliRider Joe), Jildardo(Hillie), FaustinoFrito). Though he was the baby of the family, Armando had a strong desire to be treated fairly and would readily offer others the same fairness in return.
As a young child, Armando was outgoing and animated. Armando enjoyed new activities and pursued a variety of interests. In his spare time, he liked video games and listening to music. He enjoyed the many trips his parents took to Tecate and La Rumerosa.
Friends and acquaintances found Armando an easy man to get to know, and those close to him would often praise his open, practical style of communication and loyalty. Armando was uncomplicated and straightforward in his relationships, which allowed him to accept people for what they were. While growing up, he met Ozzy, Luis, Raymond “ Bibbidi Bobbidi”, and Angel through his years in middle school and high school. They would grow to become best friends.
Armando was a flexible worker who was able to draw the best from others around him. His last job was at Vinco Inc., working as a Warehouse Assistant. Armando was a help to everyone around the warehouse. His coworkers and boss said "Armando always had a smile. If you were having a bad day, his smile would brighten that day for you." Gifted with an incredible ability to read body language, Armando was able to positively manipulate situations and motivate others in order to get a task completed. He could be a leader who sought impact for his decisions. He was a good negotiator who enjoyed new challenges. Armando could multi-task, and he was endowed with an entrepreneurial spirit, allowing him to think beyond standard norms when it came to resolving issues in his work environment.
Armando enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. He had something of an artistic flair in many of the things that he did. He put this creativity toward all of his pastimes. His favorite pursuits were cruising the streets, helping build and fix lowriders, tagging, going to the gun range, and fireworks. He was content to enjoy his hobbies with others willing to share his interests. Armando was also an active member of CaliRiders Car Club, where he worked hard to help everyone accomplish group goals.
Because he liked to take risks, Armando was a perfect match for athletics and exercise. He was enthusiastic and confident about these activities. Armando enjoyed hiking with others, seeking different and challenging locations. He also liked to watch any good fights at a bar or a friend's house on Saturday nights.
Armando also had a pet he cherished. Garfield, a fat orange cat, was rescued by Melissa and Armando over 8 years ago. He loved Garfield as if he were his own son. Armando was also a great mentor to his nephews and nieces. In his off time, he would find activities to do that they enjoyed. Armando would do his best to teach his nieces and nephews about working hard to accomplish their goals to build their legacy in life.
Armando passed away on September 4, 2022, at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. He is survived by his Momma Gloria and Father Florentino, Brothers Alberto, CaliRider Joe, Hillie, and Frito. Long-time soul mate Melissa. Sister-In-Laws Angie, Pauline, and Rosa. Nephews Moses, Bobby, Xavier, Michael, Santos, Junior, and Azariah. Nieces Ashley, Trinity, Sofía, Andrea, Mirza, Liz, and Joanna. Services were held at St James the Apostle Catholic Church. Armando was laid to rest in Palm Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery in North Las Vegas, NV.
Armando was the embodiment of family, friends, and co-workers. His loyalty to those close to him was second to none. He was always able to provide amusing repartee to his friends and acquaintances, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes, and stories. He enjoyed his life and the experience of living it. This is how everyone will remember Armando Ignacio Munoz-Armas.
