Angie Curry was born Angela Lee Tamm on October 14, 1975 to parents Robert Ernest Tamm and Sandra Kay Senter in Anaheim, California. Her birth was greeted with much celebration as she was the first girl born into the Tamm family in several generations. She was baptized into the family of Christ on November 16, 1975 at Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church in Anaheim, California. Her Godparents were her Aunt Nancy Senter and Kathy and Paul Clopton.
Angie was all girl and loved wearing dresses playing with Barbies and being spoiled. Angie was the second of 4 children (Robert Ernest II, Angela Lee, Michael Shelby, and Lindsay Rae) born to Bob and Sandy who divorced when she was 5. Her mother remarried in 1981 and her 5th sibling Adam Maurice Gunter was born in 1982. She lived in Anaheim, California until age 11, when, after her mother divorced Richard Gunter, they moved to St. Peter’s, Missouri. She was a cheerleader at Fort Zumwalt South and graduated in 1993.
After high school, Angie returned to California and lived with her father Bob in Riverside and worked at Fred Meyer Jewelers. In 1995 she met Martin Gerard Curry at the Galleria Mall at Sunset where they both worked and they married on August 23, 1998 at Eden Lutheran Church in Riverside, California where both their children were baptized as well. They welcomed their first son Cory Martin Curry on July 27, 1999. In 2000 they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. On December 27, 2002 their second child, Zane Gerard Curry was born.
In addition to her work at jewelers, Angie was also a Flight Attendant for America West Airlines and worked at Green Valley Ranch as a Cocktail Waitress. She also took up jewelry making and photography and loved taking pictures of her family and doing wedding photography. In recent years injuries sustained in car accidents prevented Angie from working outside the home. Whether at work or home, Angie’s outgoing nature created a welcoming environment.
