Al was a proud native of his beloved country, the Philippines. He was the eldest of seven children, born to parents Candido Pagaduan and Adela Ancheta in Paniqui, Tarlac on February 21, 1945. In the summer of 1966, he met the “love of his life,” Editha Branzuela, his wife of 53 years in Cebu City.
Al attended the Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his education in Ateneo de Cagayan/Xavier University. While attending university, he channeled his passion for music as a radio announcer and DJ at DXCC. Al was former President and member of the Kiwanis Club of Cebu. He was a 32° Scottish Rite Mason member of the Daylite Lodge #44 in Las Vegas. Al had many professional interests. He was an exceptional salesman, a successful businessman, and in his later years worked as a realtor until he retired.
Al was the life of the party and loved to sing and dance. He was an avid tennis player. His pastime included crossword puzzles, writing poems and reading about history.
Al's memory lives on through his wife Editha; their children: Judith, Alfonso Jr. "Jun-Jun," Alfonso III "Junie", Rey, Cristina, Stella, Mark, and Dorothy "Cleng"; and his grandchildren: Justin, Summer, Andrew, Miko, Josh, Caleb, and Preston.
It was Al's wish that his remains be cremated during a private ceremony attended by his wife and children. To commemorate his life, a memorial service will be held at 4:30pm PST on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
