Nidia Fernandez, 81, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, of Las Vegas, passed away on January 29, 2014. She was born November 14, 1932 in San Nicolas, Havana, Cuba, and had been a resident of Nevada since 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Fernandez, with whom she was married for 23 years. Nidia is survived by her sons, Jose Fernandez and Mario Fernandez; eight grandchildren; and ten great- grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind heart, love of cooking, and her infectious laugh. A memorial service will be held on Friday February 21, 2014 at 11am at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N.
