Uncle Vito was a beautiful man. Always upbeat and full of stories.
I saw Vito in Florida on 2 occasions. One was at Aunt Mickeys funeral. Vito stayed at the same hotel and my brothers Sonny and Dave sat on the rooftop patio with Vito and talked for hours. Vito worked at Baldwin in Eddystone during WWII building tanks. One of his co-workers was Mario Lanza. 
He and Mario would sing together at work.
The other time I saw Vito was when Kathleen and were in Tampa . We took a ride to see him and Joan and visited their condo. We had dinner and watched Joan and him dance the night away. The local DJ was not up to Vitos standards so he went up to him and 'coached' this guy into being a better DJ.
Vito put my cell phone # into his cell phone. My number in his directory must have been close to a friend of his because he would 'butt dial' me by mistake and be totally surprised when I answered the phone. Happened many times and it was our version of Abbott & Costello's WHO'S ON FIRST.

A sweet and generous man, both with his time and friendly spirit.  A wonderful neighbor and friend during Art and my time at ISK.  

Uncle Vito, you will so be missed. Our family gatherings and parties were some of my greatest memories. I will always remember, "if you can do this, you can do anything"!! And you did! You were loved by all. I'm sending loving wishes to Aunt Joan and your whole family. Go be with my dad, and continue to laugh. Love you....

Uncle Vito, you were one-of-a-kind and you will be missed. Chuck and I will always have fond memories of the parties and the music and the laughs with all the aunts, uncles and dozens of cousins! We send love to the whole family.

I hadn't seen Uncle Vito since my Mom's funeral in 2009 but thought he was truly amazing for driving to Miami by himself at 90 years old to be with us.  I was also astonished to learn fairly recently that he had played with some of the Jazz world's greatest legends during his career as a musician.  I am sorry we can't be there with you but we send our love and condolences from California and a toast to a life well lived.

Perfect picture of Vito...the way we will remember him.  Happy, funny and such a unique man.  Rest in peace and dance in heaven.  Say hi to my Mom and Dad, your neighborhood friends!

Uncle Vito was truly a man of character or should I say was character! He was always very welcoming when we were in Wildwood and stopped by to see him and Aunt Joan at his house on the bay. 

My favorite memory was when we went to the Prudente/Giralico family reunion in Beaver Falls. During the picnic we were playing music, me on guitar while he played his mandolin. He said Frankie watch my mouth, he would keep time by chewing his gum. Who knew that that trick would work! He was definitely a neat guy!

Dear Aunt Joan and cousins,
I'm very sorry for your loss. I will never forget how Uncle Vito drove all the way to Miami to be at my mother's funeral. It meant a lot to all of us. I'm sorry I am not there for his. God bless him.

I will always remember Uncle Vito, the life of the party, playing his mandolin and keeping everyone laughing. We always looked forward to his visits. He will be missed. Sending our love to the entire family.

Uncle Vito was an awesome guy!!!!! Thanks for making all of us have such wonderful memories of our family gatherings. He will be truly missed by many.

So sad that Aunt Joan and the Prudente family have lost a wonderfully vibrant man. 
I was fortunate to have visited with him twice in recent years. Once when Kathy and I were in Clearwater, and once when his sister Micki passed away.
One of my favorite stories about Uncle Vito involves him putting my cell phone telephone number into his cell phone directory.
Vito had a friend whose telephone number was next to mine in his directory.
I would get phone calls from Vito that would rival Abbott & Costellos WHO'S ON FIRST routine.
My phone would ring and Vito would would be surprised when instead of hearing his friends voice, he heard my voice instead. It continued up until a few months ago and will remain one of my fondest memories of him. 
God rest your soul Uncle Vito. You gently touched so many souls during your precious life.
