Stephen Glenn Hinchy, 57, of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of Waldorf, died from complications associated with Multiple Sclerosis on Feb. 18, 2013, at the Countryside Rehab & Nursing Center, Palm Harbor, Fl.
Born January 26, 1956, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Jack W. Hinchy and the late Betty I. Linnenbrogger Hinchy.
He is a former Thomas Stone HS alumnus. He was proud to have served in the US Marine Corps in the 70's, where he served in the Asian theater. He was also retired from the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he continued to serve those in the military and their families.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his son, Matthew Allen Roberts, his siblings, Michael K. of Waldorf; Donna Lee and her husband Ronnie of Slanesville, WV; Barbara Maples of Richmond, Va; Patrick of Tucson, Az; Doug and his wife Maggie of Owings Mills, Md; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be entombed at Arlington National Cemetery on a date to be determined, where a private memorial will be held in his honor. The family requests that contributions be made to the National MS Society by phone at (800) 344-4867.
