Samuel James Daniels III

Mr Daniels was born and raised in Middletown, DE and was president of his high school graduating class. He joined the US Army upon graduation and honorably served his country as an Army Ranger in the Airborne. After his military career, he joined General Electric Company as an engineer. He retired in Largo, FL and enjoyed time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Daniels. He is survived by daughter Cheryl Sherwood (Richard) of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Carol Daniels Smith (James W) of Largo, FL, son Samuel James Jr (Cynthia) of Wilson NC, granddaughters Elizabeth Jean Daniels, Kimberly Sherwood Winn, Maggie Barah Gardner, grandsons Jay Sherwood and Wade J Smith, and six beloved great grandchildren. He was a most admired man, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be missed.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday Feb 19 from 1:00 to 3:00at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Funeral Home in Largo, FL. A short service will begin at 3:00.
