Robert Nagle, 71, of Largo, Florida, passed away on July 28, 2024. Born on June 30, 1953, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Phyllis and Leo Nagle, Robert was a cherished member of his community and a beloved figure to those who knew him.
Robert graduated from Austin Prep and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Westfield State University. His professional career in Health Information Technology took him across the country, where he dedicated himself to teaching and improving the field. Robert’s life was enriched by his profound passions—playing the piano, singing in a Barbershop Quartet, and indulging in jazz music. Known affectionately by his friends as "Nuggets," he also loved playing lacrosse.
For over 20 years, Robert shared a deep and abiding love with his partner, Cheri Davis, whom he met at the Salt Rock Grill Restaurant. After meeting Cheri he inherited an instant family with daughters and grandkids who adored him & called him Gump. Their relationship was a source of great joy and companionship, with Cheri being the love of his life as he was to her.
Robert is survived by his devoted partner, Cheri Davis and her children, Nicole (Aric) Rudd and Jill (Ryan) Gillis; his two sisters, Sandra (Ernie) Von Holten and Patty Nagle; his inherited grandchildren, Rylie, Jilena, Aaron and Evan; as well as his nieces and nephews, Christopher (Becka) Eckman, Melissa (Martin) Binette and Lea.
A private gathering to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at the Port Belleair Clubhouse; 147 Bluff View Dr, Belleair Bluffs, FL on August 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends, cherished for his warmth, passion, and enduring spirit.
