Marj was born in Rochester, New York on February 21, 1925, the daughter of Jesse and Judson Miller. She was from a large family of eight children, five boys and three girls.
In 1942 Marj graduated high school from Canandaigua Academy, Canandaigua, New York. She worked in manufacturing at Garlocks in Palmyra, New York, where she met her husband to be, Norman Robinson, in 1946. They were married in Canandaigua, New York, on May 8, 1948. Soon after, Norm’s father passed. As a young, newly married couple, they took on the responsibility of raising his three siblings to adulthood before starting their own family in 1951.
Family and faith were most important to Marj. She was active in church activities including teaching Sunday school at The Westside United Methodist Church in Elmira, New York. While her daughters were young, she volunteered for years as a Girl Scout Leader. She was a homemaker for most of her children’s lives, returning to work in the mid 1960’s at Deister and Butler Fine Jewelry in Elmira, New York. In 1974 Marj and Norm moved to Clearwater, Florida, with their youngest daughter. Marj acquired a job in 1975 in Largo, Florida, with Concept Incorporated manufacturing medical equipment. After retiring in 1993, she dedicated her time to family and helping others in need. She was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. Later in life, she took painting lessons, and enjoyed creating her own works of art. She was an avid reader, even learning how to use a Kindle in her late 80’s. Throughout her adult life she especially enjoyed travelling the United States, taking trips out west, Alaska and to the northeast. Her happiest times were spent with family and friends, sharing jokes and making memories.
Marj is survived by her caring brother Carl Miller of Canandaigua, New York; numerous loving nieces and nephews; two devoted daughters, Lori Robinson of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Leisa Robinson of Clearwater, Florida; three adoring grandchildren, Joshua Burnett of Tampa, Florida, Courtney Burnett of Seattle, Washington and Jessica Billings of Clearwater, Florida; and three great grandchildren, Adam, Aiden, and Athena of Seattle, Washington.
Her predecessors include Norm, her faithful husband of 52 years, and her two beloved oldest daughters, Kathy Adams and Kerry Burnett.

Weary
God saw you getting weary.
He did what He thought best.
He put his arms around you
and said, Come and rest.
He opened up His golden gates
on that heartbreaking day,
and with His arms around you,
you gently slipped away.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
A part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
