James “Jim” E. Griffiths, entered the kingdom of heaven May, 23, 2022. Born January 5, 1958 in Corvallis, Oregon the son of the late Samuel E. Griffiths and Josephine R. Griffiths. He was your typical Army child and attended many schools and moved quite often. While serving honorably in the U.S. Air Force, he married his lifelong sweetheart, Pamela Galing Griffiths. They moved to Biloxi and have remained in the south ever since. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. Following graduation from USM he began his career in network and systems engineering, first at the department of Electrical Engineering at Louisiana State University, then at Raytheon Technologies and SAIC in Florida.
Jim and Pam had two children, Kaitlin and Joseph, whom Jim adored. He was a very involved father; he was on the board for his children’s day care and could also be found coaching and cheering on his young stars. After moving to Florida, Jim found a new passion for all things speed, especially Porsche, and attending PCA Driver’s Education and 24-hours at Sebring, where he volunteered.
Jim lost his battle with recently diagnosed stomach cancer and was proceeded in death by his parents. Jim leaves his wife of 37 years, Pamela of Largo; daughter Dr. Kaitlin Christopherson (Phillip) of Winter Park, and son Joseph Alan James Griffiths of Largo; grandchildren Brady, Harper and Cooper; and his brother Steven Thomas Griffiths of West Bloomfield, Michigan and sister Lynn Ann Griffiths of Marion, Virginia.
