She was born on February 25, 1928, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to Mary Baker Denson and Council Denson. Ima graduated from high school and worked as a homemaker. She was married to Henry T. Jones on June 6, 1946.
H.T. Jones served in the U.S. Navy and later worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. Ima was a member of Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls, and she had a deep passion for church, charitable work, and knowledge.
She is survived by her children, Alan Jones and Karen Young; grandchildren, Merek Jones, Devin Jones, Stephen Young, and Alexandra Corneiler; and great-grandchildren, Lucas Jones and Annie Cornelier.
A committal service for Ima will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774.
