Shain, "Bubba," was one of my dearest friends. I met him in 2003, while in law school at Cooley, through a mutual friend. We became "buddies" instantly & hung out often. Whether at my house, his, or one of the clubs we'd frequent over our 17+ friendship  (Colonial was the "go-to," but, we hung out ALL over Lansing) we always had fun. In fact, I met my husband, James Clark,  bc of Bubba, who decided to take me to Shultz's bar in June 2007 for Karoke to introduce me to a few of his friends; (14)yrs later, James & I are still together & have a beautiful (11)yr old daughter & I attribute it all to Bubba. 
There's very few people in this world that I have trusted wholeheartedly & I can honestly say that he was one of them. Moreover, he was a kind, thoughtful, gentle giant who often spoke of his family & children always wishing and wanting the best for them. I can not say enough to describe the wonderful person I've known/knew & how desperately sorry I am that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. 
I thought it apros pos to end my sentiments w/one of his FAVORITE sayings to all "PEACE & CHICKEN GREASE."

I did not know Shain personally, but I met his sister Jamie when she came down and attended my mother’s funeral in 2018 with my cousin… So to the family, Jamie, I send my deepest, heartfelt condolences and prayers for you all during this time as well as the days to come.  Soon, the former things will have passed away and death will be no more ❤️

Bubba has touched so many lives in his 50 years.. no matter where I took this guy he knew someone! He was the greatest friend a person could have! We shared the title “brothers with different mothers” and he meant everything to me! He adopted the role as uncle to my daughter and would always be right there if she needed him. I will think about my brother every day until I get my chance to go see him again! Gone to soon my brother!

My deepest sympathy to Shain's family and friends. I worked with Bubba at Atmosphere Annealing since he started there. He enjoyed our annual golf outings and would always ask me early spring when it was scheduled. He was a kind and considerate man. Always with a smile and pleasant personality. He will be missed.

I love you so much and you will definitely be missed. I’ll always remember the love you gave and the beautiful spirit you had. I’m forever grateful for the time I got to spend with you and you will always be with me in my heart.
