Roxie Virginia Parmelee

Holt, Michigan

Age 79, our loving mother and grandmother was called home to her Lord on September 6, 2018. Born February 4, 1939 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Roxie graduated with a R.N. Degree from L.C.C. in 1974, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from M.S.U. in 1987, and a Master’s in Health Care Administration from Western Michigan University in 1996. She retired after many years as a Registered Nurse. By grace, Roxie was saved through her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Holt Baptist Church, and later South Church. She enjoyed baking and traveling with Christian groups around the world.

Roxie is survived by her 4 children, Michael (Evelyn Finn) Parmelee, Virginia (Robert) Boll, Philip (Jennifer) Parmelee, and Kandy (Fred) Hannula; 4 granddaughters, Dana (Brad Davis) Overacker, Kristine (Ian Holleman) Hannula, Danielle Parmelee, and Stacey (Nicholas Thiel) Hannula; brother, Earl Fox of St. Petersburg, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie & Charles Fox. The family is grateful for the friendship and care by her church family.

Family will receive friends 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Monday in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Services will be 12:30 P.M.
