Robert A. Keller, 89, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away June 4, 2014. He was born on January 14, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Jacob and Ann (Straub) Keller. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II as a Gunner’s Mate Third Class. After many years of dedicated work, Robert retired from St. Lawrence Hospital. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his cousin, Louie, and was an enthusiastic Jack Pine participant.
Surviving to cherish Robert’s memory are his cousins, Patricia (Carl) Fox, Louis (Ruth) Keller, Linda Lamb, and many others. He will also be missed by his helpful neighbors, especially Mike, and his VFW brothers.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 9, 2014 at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, 102 W. Randolph St., Lansing, Michigan. Interment and military honors will follow the mass in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday and on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan. A vigil service will also be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 7:30 PM at the Lansing Chapel.
