Robert "Bob" Andrew Schmidt

Robert Schmidt, 89, died on November 29, 2017 in Lansing, Michigan. Born January 19, 1928 in Kalkaska, the oldest of three boys born to Andrew and Lucille Schmidt. He was an active and dedicated member of Capitol City Baptist Church since April 2006. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 43 years, Marilyn, in 2013, as well as his parents and his brother, Lloyd.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Lonnie (Dollie) Schmidt; daughter, Martha (Bob) DiBlase; grandchildren, Theresa Hurley, Timothy (Jessica) Schmidt, Dave Reglin, Nicholas DiBlase, and Jason (Stacie) DiBlase; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Donald (Mickey) Schmidt; niece, Carol (John) Carracia; and nephew, Mike (Diane) Schmidt.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11am at Capitol City Baptist Church, 5100 Willoughby Rd., Holt. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service and on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Bob to Capitol City Baptist Church.
