Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife Susan of 42 years, his mother Mermian Bellah, their children Jason (Kim) Donaldson, Mason; Jennifer (Lucas Martinez) Donaldson, East Lansing; Gregory Bellah, and Ricky Bellah, Eaton Rapids. Eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter on the way. One Sister, Margaret (Paul) Duff, Maynard, Arkansas. One brother, Charles (Melinda) Bellah Jr., Farwell, Michigan and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bellah, Sr. and a sister LaVonne Bellah.
Rick was quite a character, known for his quick wit. He spent many happy summers as a teenager with his Grandpa Samons in Arkansas, fishing and working on the family farm. He remembered these times spent with his grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncles and cousins fondly and spoke of them often. As a young man he liked to play softball. His team (Abies) played in city leagues and in tournaments, where we made lifelong friends and many happy memories. He also enjoyed playing golf and bowling. At family gatherings, Rick was always the one who wanted to play some sort of game, usually winning because of his competitive nature. His grandchildren were probably the greatest joy of his life. He loved teasing them, playing with them and looked forward to each and every visit.
He will be dearly missed by all who remember him.
