Patricia Kaye Thompson, born Oct. 2, 1946, passed away Sept. 4, 2016. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy C. Beauchamp and her mother, Mary Kathleen (McNerney) Austin. She is survived by her children, Shelby Wilburn, Mike Wilburn, Kathrine Jackson; grandchildren, Mike Jr., Karoline Kaye, Darius, Jayden, Steven, Christopher, Elizabeth, Patricia, Ashley; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was born and raised in Lansing with 8 brothers and sisters. She enjoyed thrift shopping, bingo, casino trips with her daughter and took pride in sewing – gifting quilts was her specialty. Patricia worked as a server for over 35 years in the Lansing area, much of the time at Theio’s before her retirement from Sparrow. Her favorite place on earth was Wilmington Beach, NC. She always lent a helping hand, a listening ear, amazing advice, and never judged anyone. She touched many, and will be remembered by all. May you rest in Paradise, O.G. Pat.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 2pm to 4pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, with a memorial service to begin at 4pm.
