Maxine S. Robbins

Maxine was born on June 1, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan, to Benjamin and Lydia Haney. She retired after working many years for General Motors in the Lansing area. Maxine was an avid bowler, a fantastic card player, and an excellent cook. She was very family oriented; she attended every Haney family reunion at Lumberjack Park in Riverdale, Michigan since they began 81 years ago!

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. Robbins, Sr., her son, Lawrence C. Robbins, Jr., her parents, and her siblings.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Diana (John) Withers, Deborah (the late Robert) Shapley, and Bruce (Linda) Robbins; her eleven grandchildren, Shannon, Jodi, Bruce, John, James, Kimberly, Jennifer, Justin, Blake, Katy, and Robert; her nineteen great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; and her dear friends, Lilly, Bill and Rita, and Barb.

A Chapel Service will be held at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, 1408 Old Lansing Rd., Lansing, Michigan, on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow.
