Loving Mother, grandmother and sister, Marta Ramona Bobillo peacefully passed away on October 6, 2024. Born on December 19, 1933 in Cuba, she was the eldest daughter of Eustoquio Castillo and Blanca Perez.
Her life was dedicated to her family, who lovingly called her “Guagua”. Marta was a sewing instructor in Cuba and later became a self-employed seamstress in the United States. She loved gardening and spent most of her days outdoors tending to her flowers and plants. She also had a passion for cooking and was known for her black beans and rice. She looked forward to playing bingo with her UAW retiree family. It was entertaining to see how competitive she became. Marta also was a devout member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church where she volunteered and participated in the choir. Her life was a living example of Mark 9:35 that reads: And he sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all”.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jose Ramon Bobillo; parents, Eustoquio Castillo and Blanca Perez; and siblings, Inez Cruz, Migdalia Castillo and Orlando Castillo.
Surviving are her children, Marta Milagros Bobillo (Paul) and Jose Ramon Bobillo, Jr. (Autumn); 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Oscar Castillo, Magda Castillo and Milagros Castillo
