Margaret Aledaide Clegg

Margaret Adelaide Clegg, age 94, died February 8, 2013. She was born August 26, 1918 in Hesperia, MI to Lambert and Hazel (Whitney) Mahan. Margaret was an elementary teacher in the Grand Ledge public schools. She loved her family, was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed baking bread and homemade rolls. Margaret was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church and was a very active member of the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle (2008) after 68 years of marriage; and one brother and one sister. Surviving are sons Harold (Betty) Clegg, Thomas (Marie) Clegg, Dr. Timothy (Kathleen) Clegg; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, 3827 Delta River Drive, Lansing, MI 48906 with the Rev. Lori Sykes officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 PM Monday at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI 48912, and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the First United Methodist Church, 3827 Delta River Drive, Lansing, MI 48906 in memory of Margaret Clegg.
