Kimberly Joel Powell, 73, of Ovid, Michigan, passed away on July 16, 2024. Born on March 31, 1951, in Tecumseh, Michigan. Kimberly was a cherished member of the community and a proud employee of General Motors.
Kimberly was not only known for his dedication at work but also for his passion for trains, particularly Lionel Trains. His love for tractors was equally profound; he enjoyed painting them along with trains and landscapes, capturing every detail with precision and care. Kim was also an active member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 105, St. Johns Post, where he contributed enthusiastically to various activities and initiatives. Kimberly was a proud member if the Shepherdsville United Methodist church in Ovid, Michigan.
Kimberly was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Janet Powell, as well as his brother, David and nephew, Christian. He is survived by his siblings, Jordan Powell and his wife Audrey, Russell Powell and his wife Mary Ann, Mary Powell, and Kathy Alger and her husband John; nieces Kelly, Mindy, Tammy, Vanessa, and Hannah; and nephews Travis, Tyler, and Lucas. His very dear and special friend, Frank Hubbard will also cherish Kimberly's memory. Kimberly’s love for his hobbies and his dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and through the vibrant paintings and train sets he leaves behind.
In accordance to his wishes, cremation will be taking place. A private family ceremony will take place at a later date.
