Kathleen Marie (Cavner) Woodman, 94, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024. She was born on January 2, 1930 in Sandlake, Michigan to Emmett and Nina (Tisdel) Cavner. Kathleen retired from the State of Michigan and enjoyed many years of travel after her retirement. She was a kind, loving wife, mother grandmother, and friend. Everyone who knew her, loved her. Kathleen married Leonard on September 27, 1947 and had 73 years together before he passed on October 1, 2020.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Albert) Orsborn and Jillayne Mautz; daughter-in-law, Linda Woodman; 5 grandchildren, Christopher (Lesley) Orsborn, Kevin Orsborn, Rory (Emily) Woodman, Shaun Woodman, and Courtney Mautz; 6 great grandchildren, Owen Orsborn, Brie Woodman, Liam Woodman, King Woodman, Kymoara Woodman, and Kialeah Woodman; brother-in-law, Philip Starr; sister-in-law, Joyce Cavner, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents, and son, Craig.
In accordance with Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place in the spring/summer. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill memorial gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kathleen’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.
