She was born to Alfred and Patricia Perales on September 21, 1961 in Lansing, Michigan. She was their first-born child and older sister to Melanie and Spencer. She was a 1979 graduate of Holt High School. She was married to the love of her life, Doug Warren, March 10th, 1979. Julie and Doug were partners in life and the business of flipping many houses. Their most important mission in life was parenting their three beautiful children, Cole, Jered and Kaitlin.
Julie was retired 24 years of service at MSU where she met many dear friends. After her retirement Julie continued to work by selflessly helping others with any project that needed to be done, painting, decorating, cleaning, cooking, helping to care for family and friends. Julie was always there with her gorgeous 100-watt smile, brightening everyone’s day.
Julie was an active member of Pentecostals of East Lansing church where she was loved by all. You could find her cooking and serving elaborate meals for large groups at the church café, or sharing words of encouragement. Julie had many interests including gardening, cooking, specialty parties, but her greatest joy was to spend time with her large family, The Warren 5, her parents, siblings, brother and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Doug. Her children, Cole (Chelsea), Jered, Kaitlin, and puppy Gabi. Her parents Alfred and Patricia Perales. Her sister, Melanie Sanchez (Lupe), and brother, Spencer Perales (Ann). Grandmother, Julia Navarro. Granddaughter, Molly, grand dogs, Gypsy and Odin. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
