Janet M. Lowell

Went to be with the Lord May 2, 2014. Janet was born November 30, 1937 to Lawrence and Etta Mae (VanOrman) Kenyon. She retired after 20 years with General Motors. She loved to bird watch, hunt, fish, and raise fawns. She had a 2 acre garden that Elwood planted for her where he grew tomatoes for her salsa and fruit for her freezer jam. Janet adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Gary and Dion Kenyon. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Elwood; daughters, Diana (John) Ridge of Rock Falls, IL, April (Jim) Ettinger of St. Johns; sons, James (Karen) Lowell of Perrington, Ernest (Julie) Lowell of Laingsburg; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, and brother, Larry (Roslyn) Kenyon of Harrison, MI. Funeral Services for Janet will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI with Pastor Dan Wilkinson, First Baptist Church of DeWitt officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation will be on Monday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter, 1050 Wilshire Dr., Suite 302, Troy, Michigan 48084.
