Gwendolyn Jean Moore

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Jean Moore (Ash), 73, peacefully left this world on Thursday, September 5, 2024, surrounded by the love of her four sons. Born on April 28, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Lydia Ferguson. She married Terry Lee Ash, and together they had four wonderful sons.

Gwen dedicated many years of her career as an Administrative Assistant with the Lansing Public School District. Gwen's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, and deep love commitment to her family and community. Gwen was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith was reflected in everything she did. Gwen's warmth, compassion, and steadfast belief in Jesus inspired everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

She is survived by her sons: Charles (Dana) Ash, Jeremiah Ash, Michael (Kathy) Ash, and Matthew (Michelle) Ash, as well as her stepdaughter, Kim (Juan) Angarita. Gwen cherished her 18 grandchildren: Rhiley, Logan (Morgan), Nevaeh, Tristan, Savannah, Darien, Kamryn, Terence, Alexis, Haylee, Logan, Alayna, Judah, Morgan, Matthew, Myles, Elliana, Ivan, and Gabriel. She is also survived by her brother, Ken (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. Gwen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terry Ash, her parents, Edmund and Lydia Ferguson (Wyborny), and her siblings: Edmund, Jacqueline (Reaume), Timothy, MaryAnn, and Ronald.

Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Gwen’s memory will be cherished and celebrated by her family and friends, and her life will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A memorial service for Gwen will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Tiffany Chapel 3232 W. Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48917.
