Growing up, Gary was known for his adventurous spirit and a penchant for mischief, but his loyalty as a friend and brother shone brightly. He often skipped school to work on cars, a passion that transformed into a lifelong career. Gary was a simple man who found joy in the mechanics of life, dedicating his time to teaching his children everything he knew about cars and more.
Gary cherished every moment spent with his family. He loved hunting, riding four-wheelers and bikes with his kids, and being the amazing father and grandfather his family adored. His candid nature and independent spirit meant he always spoke his mind and lived life on his own terms.
When he wasn't busy spoiling his children and grandchildren, Gary enjoyed hauling scrap metal with his friend Leo and spending quality time with his girlfriend, Laura Carter.
Gary will be dearly missed by his children, Violet Polzin, Sarah Sharma, and Garylee Dexter; his grandchildren, Jacob, Trenton, and Ryder Dexter; his siblings, Robin Wicks, Tammy Dexter, Daniel Dexter, and Jeramy Moray-Dexter; and his girlfriend, Laura.
In accordance with Gary's wishes, there will be no formal services. For those wishing to assist the family, donations can be made directly to the funeral home by calling Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes at 517-482-1533.
Gary’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
