Erik and I go back a ways. Like so often happens our ways parted right out of high school but I have many fond memories. Sunday school class with Mr. Pennock being typical 8th graders (I don't have to elaborate). And pulling a canoe out of Rogue River in the rain out on Pine Island or Grange. To all of you who were much closer to Eric, may the love and peace of our LORD and Savior comfort you until we meet again.

Beth, I am so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He certainly was a man who could not be defined simply; a man of faith, a scholar, a teacher, an athlete, an outdoorsman, a father and husband, and so much more that he did with integrity and enthusiasm. A memory of him that I have (another side of Eric) was a time after my family had sung in church; the next week Eric excitedly brought me a CD of a group called the Peasall Sisters. He thought that we'd like it and suggested we sing some of their songs. In fact, my daughter Grace loved them, and we did in fact sing two of the songs in church. Vickie and I will be praying for you and the family during this difficult time. Tim Goyer

Though we did not know Eric personally we have worked with Eric and Mildred Snider, Sr. on projects with Continental Baptist Missions and count them as our friends. Our Prayers go out to our Great God to provide the Peace that Passes all understanding for you during this time in your lives. We would be there to personally to greet you but have previous doctor appointments to keep. God Bless!

Eric was an excellent role model for me, I am so thankful for the time I have had under his tutelage. He was a great supporter of the University Center and university relations in general. I always felt he took great care in his dealings with me, and had my best interest at heart. Our team meetings were more like friendly conversations with business intertwined. 

I will miss his candor, his trust, and his ability to apply common sense in all areas of life.
