Age 88, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to Her Lord on July 15, 2017. Born April 26, 1929 the daughter of Victor and Aurelius (Simon) cook in Pewamo, Michigan.

Surviving are her 3 children Sandra (Mark0 Wilkins, Roy (O'Neil (fiancée, Laura Johnson), and Edward V. O'Neil; 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Charter, Amy Wilkins, Adam (Hiram) Wilkins, Jacob Stanaway, and Brian (Ashley) O'Neil; 3 great-grandchildren, Celcia Ridsdale, Bailey Charter, and Madison Wohlscheid; 2 sisters, Hildegard Platte, and Patricia Klein; and many other family members and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. O'Neil; 3 sisters, Lillian Pohl, Irene Esch, and Marian Hopson.

Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with a 7:00 P.M. vigil Service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Viewing will be from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at church. Rite will be later next to her husband at Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Gerard in memory of Eleanor.
