Donna Mae Brunton

East Lansing

Born March 14, 1934, died August 10, 2016 at the age of 82. She was a lifelong resident of the Lansing area and a 1952 graduate of Eastern High School. She retired from Sparrow Hospital after 34 years in the Medical Transcription Department. Donna was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Vernon, Sr. and Ione Cooke; sister Arlene Kenger; brothers, Vernon, Jr., Jerry and Dean; sisters-in-law Katie Cooke and Dot Cooke; nephew Gary Kelley, nieces Janet Nicollette Kelley and Cindy McLeod.

Surviving is daughter, Cathy Brunton; sons, Steve and Kurt Brunton; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and some very dear friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing, MI, Saturday, August 27, 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Mark Inglot officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Donna may be made to the charity of your choice .
