Donald William Benoit

Donald was born on November 28, 1940 in Sault Saint Marie, MI to William and Lucille (Castagne) Benoit and died at the age of 71 on May 26, 2012, in Lansing. He loved the out of doors and especially liked to hunt, fish, garden and camp. Donald also liked to repair things. He would fix up old cars, motorcycles and guns. He had a love for life. Donald was preceded in death by his father William and brother Marshall. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Karen; son William Todd Benoit; mother, Lucille Kowalczak; step-brothers, Artie (Rochelle) Levine, Jack (Barbara) Kowalczak; sisters, Marsha Benoit, Janet Benoit, Janice (Tim) Curtis and step-sister Darlene (Don) Babin. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11:00am at Catholic Community of St. Jude Church, 801 N. Bridge St,, DeWitt, MI with Rev. Father Dwight Ezop officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, PO Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312 in memory of Mr. Benoit. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave. Lansing, MI.
