Charles Langdon was born November 3, 1916 on a farm in Gratiot County, Michigan to the late Glenn and Audrey (Harlow) Langdon. He graduated from Carson City H.S. in 1935, received a B.S. degree from Michigan State College in 1941 and an M.S. in 1949 from MSU. Charles completed course work for a PhD in 1968. He taught Vocational Agriculture in McBain, Michigan from 1941-1947 and 1947-1951 in Williamston. He was an Assistant Professor at MSU while a Supervising Teacher of Vocational Agriculture at Williamston. He worked for the Michigan Department of Education from 1951-77 and held the following positions: Agricultural Education Consultant, State Research Coordinating Unit Director, Program Development Specialist, Administrative Assistant to State Director of Vocational Tech Education He and his beloved wife Lena were married for seventy-four and one-half years before she passed in February of this year. Charles is survived by two sons, Gary (Laura) Langdon and their children: Julianna (Andy) Wilson and daughter Evalena; Sara (Brian) Dazsi and sons Luke and Dominic; John Langdon; Michael (Barb) Langdon and daughter Nina; and Lydia Langdon. Second son, Dean (Vicki) Langdon and their children: Angela (George) West and children George, Jr. and Keyenna; son Eric (Tara) Langdon and son Lorenzo. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00~4:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
