Charles William Hodge

Charles William Hodge, age 77, of Perry, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Marilyn Hall; his three grandsons: Joshua Manning, John Malcolm, and Dennis Malcolm; his two great-grandchildren: Myah, and Sunny; his sister, Leona Hodge; and the love of his life, Paula Royston. Charles also has another great-granddaughter, Luna, on the way!

Charles was born April 15, 1944, in Lansing, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Leonard and Minnie (Deeble) Hodge. Throughout his adult life, Charles worked on the assembly line at General Motors for over thirty years until his retirement. In his free time, Charles was an avid bowler. He was a member of several different bowling leagues in the Lansing area over the years, and greatly enjoyed the friendships he made along the way. Charles also loved woodworking, chasing hot air balloons, and playing pool. He held fond memories of trips to Cedar Point and Kings Island, and even spent time breeding Akita dogs. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Minnie; his son, Brian Hodge; and his two siblings: David and Clara Hodge.

In accordance with Charles’s wishes, cremation will take place. No public services have been scheduled.
