Brant Thomas Bowlin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 20, 2016. He is survived by his mother, Cheryle (Lynch) Bartynski; father, Larry Bowlin; stepfather, Barry Bartynski; brother, Michael Bowlin; sister-in-law, Caitlin (Malak) Bowlin; stepbrothers, Jeremy Bartynski and Keath Bartynski; children, Camryn Jackson, Brea Bowlin, Xavier Bowlin, Chloe Bowlin, and Brant Bowlin; and grandchildren Xyair Bowlin and Ayla Bowlin. Brant graduated from Everett High School in 1993 and was a member of the Sheet Metal Worker Local Union #7 for 20 years. Brant was a licensed MMA Fighter and a dedicated coach for the Lansing Eastern Wrestling Club and youth football teams such as the Lansing Mustangs, the Lansing Raiders, the South Side Panthers, and KAPPA; he also successfully coached his eldest son, Camryn Jackson, to a MHSAA State championship victory, among other accomplishments, and his youngest son, Brant Bowlin, to achieve being a USA Wrestling State Qualifier. Brant deeply cherished his family and the time he spent with them, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking man and a dedicated coach.
A service will be held Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., at 11am. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, and one hour prior to the service.
