Bill was the son of Langley pioneers and was the highly respected owner of WR Shields Contractors Ltd. of Surry, BC.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Gail, his children, Wendy, Trevor, Kim (Brandon), three grandchildren, his sisters, Doreen and Arlene, and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Roland, and his parents, Charles and Barbara Shields.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home on January 20 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bill's favorite charity: The CKNW Orphans' Fund, #2000, 700 W. Georgia St. Vancouver, BC V7Y 1K9.
