He was born to parents Thomas and Lenore Stevenson, on 22 April, 1937 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They moved to Vancouver when he was 3 and loved the West Coast.
Ron was a heavy duty tank mechanic in the Army in the 50’s and that is when he began his life long love of working on vehicles. Ron started a successful welding supply business, Isco Welding & Industrial Supplies. After 17 years, he sold the business and retired at a young age, spending the last 30 years camping, boating and enjoying his classic cars from the 50’s and early 60’s.
He enjoyed life, his family, his friends, his motor home, his boat and never met a donut he didn’t like.
Ronald “Ron” is survived by Lynn, long time girlfriend, daughters JoAnn (John) and Kelli (Shawn), and his grandsons Torrey and Braden. He was preceded in death by his son, Gordon.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in Ron's memory.
