He leaves behind Gwen (nee Harker) his wife of 52 years, sons; Richard (Crystal Gaucher), Michael (Morgane Quemper), Brendan, grandchildren; Anika and Ethan, sister Peggy Upward in NZ and 8 sisters in Ireland – Patsy Arthurs, Mary Lynch (Harry), Lena Burns, Pearl Cunningham (Christie), Charlotte Swail (Malachy), Louise Kane (Eamon), Gemma O’Hare (Eddie) and Hilary McCamley and many nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by his parents Jim & Kathleen (nee Lively), his sister Lily King, his brother Frank, sister-in-law Bridget Neely and brother in-laws Mickey Burns, John Upward and Brian Arthurs.
Tony immigrated to Canada in 1966 from N Ireland and after working as an iron worker for several years, he married and settled in Langley, BC. He was the founder & CEO of Cloverdale Disposal and New West Gypsum Recycling, with facilities in NA and Europe. His success is attributed to his hard work and dedication, his legacy will live on.
Tony was also a supporter of the Vancouver Irish Community with the hope of keeping his Irish heritage alive.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Nicholas church & hall at 20675 – 87 Ave, Langley, BC on Friday, March 24th at 11:30 am.
