Douglas Gregor Carson was born November 30, 1943 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow Scotland to Mother Helen Marshall Carson (Kirkwood) and Father James Nelson Carson. Douglas immigrated to Canada in his mid-teens with brothers Raymond and Brian Carson. The many adventures and recollections of this journey were recalled in great detail throughout raising his four sons. Douglas had entered an apprenticeship after graduating high school in Maple Ridge BC. After serving in his 4 year apprenticeship as plumber/pipefitter, He went forward with his career working on many large industrial projects for Local 170 Pipefitters Union within the pulp and paper industry, always sacrificing time away from his family working out of town to provide an amazing life for his children and wife.
Douglas succumbed to a short yet extremely hard fought battle with an aggressive illness, was loved and cared for by all that had the opportunity to be by his side during his final weeks. He is survived by His loving wife Jean Elizabeth Carson (Buksa) of 58 years, oldest son Gregory, sons; Bradley, Trevor and David, brother Brian Carson, brother and sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
