Byron was born July 29, 1962 in New Westminster, BC. He is predeceased by his parents, Myrtle and Edwin Jefferys, and his older brother, Wayne Jefferys.
Byron grew up and lived most of his life in Langley in the home his father built. He earned his Red Seal in welding in Alberta, then moved back to BC where he worked as a heavy duty trailer manufacturer, most recently Pacesetters Trailers.
Byron's first love was his 1965 Acadian Canso; driving around Langley, as a participant in Langley Cruise In for many years and then racing with the Loafers Old Time Drags at Mission Raceway where he earned many bragging rights.
With Byron's love of driving, he was also the captain of his own ship. Many years were spent cruising up and down the Fraser River and exploring the local lakes; Stave and Harrison.
Byron is survived by his wife, Bobbie, his sisters Karen and Kim, brother-in-law Todd, his brother, Jack, sister-in-law Bev and many nieces and nephews.
